What are the Most Environmentally Friendly Cars?
In recent years, various car manufacturers have made many of their vehicles more eco friendly. The American Council for an Energy-Efficient Economy (ACEEE) recently compiled a list of the Greenest Vehicles of 2017. Among the competitive vehicle segment, the upcoming 2017 Hyundai Ioniq electric was awarded as one of the most environmentally friendly cars with a score of 64. The 2017 Hyundai Ioniq Hybrid and Ioniq Blue earned a Green Score of 59 and 62 respectively. These scores take into account emissions, manufacturing, as well as the eventual recycling of the vehicle.
“The Ioniq represents an important milestone in Hyundai’s global sustainability strategy as it meets the needs of a large and growing group of drivers who require a highly efficient, low-emissions vehicle for daily use. We are proud to have made such a prominent list in the competitive green vehicle segment.”
