New Features on the 2020 Hyundai Kona
The 2020 Hyundai Kona is the newest iteration of the popular subcompact crossover SUV. The 2019 model was beloved by critics and owners alike. For instance, Car and Driver named the 2019 Kona on their annual “10Best” list. With such high praise, the 2020 Kona has a lot to live up to. Much of that judgement will rely on how Hyundai updates the Konda for 2020. With that said…
What’s new on the 2020 Hyundai Kona?
2020 Hyundai Kona Updates
The 2020 Kona changes are mostly confined to adding updates to specific trims.
- 4.2-inch color display between gauges to SEL Plus
- Wireless smartphone charging pad to SEL Plus
- Auto-dimming HomeLink rearview mirror to Limited and Ultimate
- Orange interior accent kit to Sunset Orange and Ultra Black exterior colors

- Iron Man Edition trim discontinued
We’re fans of these features. Hyundai could’ve easily just added some token upgrades and called it good, especially given the stellar performance of the previous year’s model. Instead, they added some genuine quality-of-life features while keeping to the blueprint of what made the 2019 Kona so excellent.
How Much Will the 2020 Kona Cost?
The prices are once again reasonable, with even the highest trim coming in at sub-$30,000.

- SEL: $22,995
- SEL Plus: $24,845
- Limited: $26,995

Hyundai has made their reputation by creating high-quality, affordable vehicles. They have kept to this ethos, despite their burgeoning popularity and success.
